Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dexa (“Dexa”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use dexa.software (the “Service”). Dexa is currently in an early MVP phase, and this policy is intentionally simple. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Dexa is an app store for independent software builders, operated as an early-stage project. For any privacy questions, contact us at hussain.m.trawadi@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile information from Google.
  • Profile information you choose to add. For example a username, bio, avatar, or links to your website and social profiles.
  • Content you publish. If you are a builder, the listings, descriptions, files, screenshots, and versions you upload.
  • Basic usage analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy friendly and does not use cookies or collect personal information. It helps us understand general traffic, such as page views and regions.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not store phone numbers.

How we use your information

  • To create and run your account and provide the Service.
  • To display builder profiles and listings publicly, which is the purpose of an app store.
  • To communicate with you. This includes essential emails such as verification and password resets, and occasionally product updates or marketing emails about Dexa.
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not share your email with other users or advertisers.
  • We do not use your data for anything beyond running and improving Dexa and contacting you as described above.

Marketing emails

We may send you occasional emails about Dexa, such as new features or updates. You can opt out at any time by replying to ask us to stop, or by using the unsubscribe option where available. Essential account emails, such as verification and password resets, are always sent.

Services we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Dexa. Your data may be processed by them only to provide the Service:

  • Supabase for authentication and database.
  • Cloudflare for analytics and file delivery.
  • Resend for sending emails.
  • Netlify for hosting.
  • Google if you choose to sign in with Google.

Cookies

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. Our analytics do not use cookies.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time by emailing hussain.m.trawadi@gmail.com, and we will remove it within a reasonable time.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, and because Dexa is in an MVP phase, please avoid sharing anything highly sensitive.

Children

Dexa is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Dexa grows. If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
